A Hummingbird=an Unlikely Sign?

I didn’t find much at the flea market this morning, which was kind of a bummer. But it was still worth the trip anyway, because while I was walking by a table selling potted flowers, a little hummingbird came along and stopped for some breakfast. It was absolutely magical, because the flea market was just opening, so there was barely anyone there yet, and the vendors and I both stopped to watch it and exclaim over it.

It only stayed for a minute, and then it was off to wherever hummingbirds go.

And I swear it looked just like this picture I’m attaching: green and blue body with hints of purple, and a bright pink tail. I looked it up and it’s called a Green-Breasted Mango Hummingbird. But they’re supposed to be really rare this far north! Like, only a few have ever been spotted in Massachusetts before. They mainly live in South and Central America.

When I got home and I was trying to look up what kind of hummingbird it was, I started to question myself, like maybe I didn’t see what I thought I saw? Because how could one of these beautiful birds be so far north, and how improbable is it that I would catch sight of it at a Sunday morning flea market in New England?

But I know I did see this bird this morning, and maybe this is another sign from God to stop questioning myself and start believing what I see no matter how crazy it may seem.
